To all that have found their way here, Welcome! For one reason or another the trail that you have emblazoned, the life that you have been gifted and simultaneously forged as your own, has led you here. Perhaps that word, "led", conveys a sense of helplessness. A sensibility that makes you feel your fate was unavoidable, inevitable even. This sense of control is a topic I will venture into, perhaps unintentionally, but it will find its way into almost all my writing as its ubiquity has become undeniable in our modern society. I will explore many roads that we travel down every day and the various forks in them that have been cleverly hidden from our sights, conditioned to ignore the possibilities towards which our nature pulls. I will attempt to present the ideology behind the "Renaissance man" as necessary to fully appreciate life, and in some cases to merely survive it, rather than a transient sentimentality forged in a romanticized time.
To all the forks in our roads. To branches we have ignored or been too afraid to examine. To a life that is more precious than the singularity within which we have attempted to encapsulate it. To exploration of the unknown and unknowable! To life and its great trail =)
